Aattoor Ravi Varma (1931- 2019)

[Famous works: - Kavitha, Aattoor Kavithakal.]

Seeking the truth in present,

Rejected the traditions.

Pierced the contradictions,

With contradictions.

Despised and mocked with no mercy.

Why should we remember-

The lost paradise?

While in the heaven of

Honey and the time of pleasure.

The vision of India,

Shattered into pieces,

Sank into the abyss and further.

In the poetry of Aattoor madness,

The mad wandering,

Lacking the shores.

Imagination of the poets,

Yet another madness.

Let lust, devotion, and love;

Crumble into a hundred pieces

Before an empty stomach and

An empty lunch bowl.

It's the transitional period.

Where crematoriums are to be cut open,

Rotten corpses to be buried,

Not to remember even the roots.

The path we cut forward

During the daylight,

Can not be reversed.

Perform a logical surgery,

on the foolish corpses-

Those who are in pain.

It can't go in vain.

In the sun, poetry burns-

Like a black flame.

Is the flame black?

In the sun, Poetry burns-

Like a black flame

Is the flame black?

Not ready to serve the sweet honey,

Let the black flames burn.

Not ready to serve the sweet honey,

Let the black flames burn.
