Agnisarman Namboodiri (1944-)

[He was my professor in electronics at the Government Engineering College, Thrissur, between 1998 and 1999. He has published one poetry book in the name Kumabalapookkal (Winter Melon Flowers)]

My electronic teacher,

Who taught binaries,

Wrote binary poems.

Like the one who found,

New life in Winter melon,

In the abandoned creepers.

Retired, not tired.

Words can never die,

From the memories of

Retirement.

Knew the cool breeze,

Will never be the scent-

Of life and energy.

Learned Jibran and Omar Ghayam,

And Vyloppilli at the same time.

Wrote the poems in binary numbers.

In elation and distress,

In growth and withering,

In Dark and Light,

In rational and irrational,

In rightness and folly.
